july 9th ... the Lincoln Highway Nebraska

We skipped the interstate and rode across Nebraska on the Lincoln Highway which was constructed almost 100 years ago as the first US transcontinental ... in places, they have kept the original bricks ... for hundreds of miles the highway runs parallel to the Union Pacific tracks and trains pass at the rate of about 30 per hour. And, of course, the corn and the silos and the processing factories ... tomorrow we ride again from Sioux Falls to Worthington MN
